Property ID :
Can you tell us a little about your facility?
Sure! At The Lakes Senior Living, we specialize in memory care, particularly Alzheimer’s care. We have been in business since July 2019 and have over a decade of experience in the senior care industry.
Do you do an initial assessment before admission? Can you tell us a summary?
Sure, we first want to talk to them, look at their medical history, TB, and Covid-19 test results. Our goal is to check and make sure they are a fit for our facility.
Tell me a little about your current residents.
Most of our residents are alert. They love to drink coffee, do puzzles, go and walk and talk about politics. One of our residents came because he needed help due to breaking his hip. The hip healed a while back, but he continues to stay with us because he loves the environment and how we are all a big family.
Do you have any outdoor space for the residents?
We do! We have a patio for those who want to sit outside to read or walk. We also serve meals when the weather permits.
What is your discharge policy?
We have a 30 day written notice.
What happens when the needs of a resident change?
Since we are a senior group home, we can quickly adapt to whatever the needs of the resident are.
What are the visiting hours? Are there any restrictions?
Since we are currently in a pandemic, we don’t have any visits. Our main priority is the safety and comfort of the residents; families can FaceTime, Skype, or Zoom with the residents. When the pandemic ends, we plan on resuming our visiting hours, which are 8am-8pm.
What if they need to see a doctor or a therapist?
If a resident needs someone from home health like doctor and nursing visits, physical, speech, occupation therapy, they are allowed to come.
Tell me a little about the food you serve.
Sure, most of our meals are home-cooked. We have exceptions like birthdays, holidays, and Sundays! Every Sunday, our residents want takeout. So we get whatever they want, usually pizza, burgers, hotdogs, Asian food, Meditteranean, etc.
What time do you serve the food? What about snacks?
Breakfast is served around 7:30-8:00am, Lunch is around 12:00-1pm, Dinner 4:30-5pm.
We do serve snacks throughout the day. Generally, between meals but some residents also like to snack at night.
Where may I find the state inspection grade, for my review?
As you walk to the facility, if you go to the right, we have a wall dedicated to all the regulations/reports.
What about privacy for the resident?
If the resident wants to stay in their room all day, they can, however, if able, we do want everyone to eat the meals together and encourage them to participate in activities.
How is the medication ordered and replenished? Does the facility handle this, or does the family assist with this?
We can help with ordering and refilling the medication, but if the provider doesn’t deliver, then it is the responsibility of the family to go and pick it up.
What is the monthly cost?
The starting cost is $3,500. However, the monthly fee varies depending on the assessment and the level of care.
What are your billing policies and payment policies?
We charge at the beginning of every month. Usually, families send us checks, but we also accept electronic transfers.
Are all the services included in the monthly fee? If not, what and how much are the additional services?
We add everything in the monthly fee except Incontinence Supplies.
The Lakes Senior Living is a family-owned and operated residential care home.
“We treat our residents as we do with our own family with dignity, respect, integrity, and open and honest communication”.
